Recreating Designer Fashion
from Authentic, Licensed Designs
This couture sewing blog is my heartfelt tribute to famous fashion designers. This blog highlights the significant, enduring couture legacy of the world's most famous dressmakers.
My name is Cara, and I am a historical seamstress, from Santa Barbara, CA, who recreates dresses designed by historically-recognized dressmakers: the couturiers who designed for celebrities over many decades, including Princess Grace, Elizabeth Taylor, Brigitte Bardot, and even for royalty! I am also the founder and managing director of the Couture Pattern Museum.
Subscribe below to follow along and to learn haute-couture sewing secrets. I will share the stories and the special creations of the talented visionaries who were once internationally known fashion brands.
